purpose

The purpose of the Competition Law Observatory (CLO) is to enhance the capacity of all actors to understand and apply Competition Law effectively in practice.

The Observatory provides practice oriented online videos by leading practitioners on competition law worldwide, from best practice for dealing with multijurisdictional merger control, maximising privilege and dealing with litigation to the sector specific and country specific application of competition law in practice. The Observatory is of particular interest to in-house counsel, their legal advisors and competition authorities.

The CLO is based in Rome. It was founded by Competition and EU Law experts Avvocato Riccardo Sciaudone (Partner, Grimaldi Studio Legale and formerly the European Commission) and Susan Clements (former EU Policy Advisor, UK Law Societies, Assistant Lawyer, European Court of Human Rights and Associate Solicitor, Allen & Overy LLP and Hogan Lovells LLP).
